Facing the era of globalization, UGM alumni are not only required to excel in science-based competencies. More importantly, alumni must also enrich themselves with value (social value) that can be a differentiator with other individuals. The synergy of them is needed in facing the increasingly tight current competition.
As disclosed by Dr. Prasetio, President Director (CEO) of Money Printing Public Company of The Republic of Indonesia (Peruri) at Universitas Gadjah Mada on Monday (18/7) morning.
“If you only have competence without value, it will be difficult (to win the competition), and vice versa. Those two things must be harmonized, must be balanced,” he said when giving briefing material in front of 1040 prospective graduates of July 2017 period Postgraduate Program in Grha Sabha Pramana.
The President Director gave example as in an organization, values like integrity, honesty, and responsibility are the main capital. In addition, organizations also need individuals with high loyalty and dedication.
This Master of Business Law graduate also assessed that the individual’s ability to adapt to the current environment is of critical value in order to achieve success. Especially in the era of public openness, where the information flow is so fast, adds to the increasingly unpredictable changes.

According to the alumna of Communication Science, changes and life dynamics are inevitable. Therefore, we should be able to carefully and smartly read the situation, just like RRI that is still on air until today.
