The Gadjah Mada DKI Jakarta Alumni Family (KAGAMA) once again held an alumni gathering with the hashtag #SingPentingGuyupRukun which was held at the Allianz Building, Ecopark Ancol on Sunday (5/10). This time, the Gadjah Mada Faculty of Psychology Alumni Family (KAPSIGAMA) and the Gadjah Mada FISIPOL Alumni Family (KAFISPOLGAMA) became the organizing committee.
The event was attended by around 3,000 alumni from various classes and departments. Also attending were Chairman of PP KAGAMA, Ganjar Pranowo, Minister of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), Basuki Hadimuljono, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Retno Marsudi, Minister of State Secretary, Pratikno, Minister of Transportation, Budi Karya Sumadi, Governor of DKI Jakarta, Anis Baswedan , and Vice Chancellor for UGM Cooperation and Alumni, Dr. Paripurna, S.H., M.Hum., LL.M.
In his remarks, Ganjar appealed to all alumni to be able helping each other fellow alumni to develop themselves and increase their contribution to the nation and state, using a sane heart and mind. UGM Alumni with a variety of characteristics are expected to be able holding hands to build the nation in the midst of issues that have plagued the country some time.
After events, several guest stars also attended to enliven this event, including Elek Yo Band and Gigi Band’s special guest with the slogan “Singing January Eleventh on October Sixth”.
On this occasion, UGM facilitated the manufacture of GAMA Co-Brand Cards for alumni who presented. Working closely with Bank Rakyat Indonesia (BRI) and Bank Tabungan Negara (BTN), the GAMA Co-Brand Card booth also facilitates card printing on the spot, especially for alumni who choose BTN. In addition, UGM also offers the Sahabat UGM program which provides facilities for alumni who want to contribute directly to improve the quality of Universitas Gadjah Mada.
The donation results are intended to help students in the form of scholarships, student activity units, and improvement of campus infrastructure. After giving a donation, alumni will get souvenirs in the form of UGM t-shirts or tumblers as a form of participation in the Sahabat UGM program.
