After held UGM Tracer Study 2019 for undergraduate and postgraduate program in last February, DKAUI through Subdirectorate of Alumni Relation UGM held UGM Tracer Study Socialization 2019 for enumerator on Monday (20/5). Enumerator consists of representatives from every departments in all faculty and schools of Universitas Gadjah Mada. This event held in Multimedia I Room, UGM Main Building at 09.30.

Head of Subdirectorate of Alumni Relation UGM, Dr. Sulistyowati, S.S., M.Hum., during her opening speech said that tracer study will be one of the ranking indicators for UGM because the calculation is based on population number. Sulistyowati also said that enumerators who joined have important role towards success of tracer study program.

“The bigger response rate we receive, the more accurate the ranking calculation for UGM. Hence, enumerators are expected to be ‘connecting bridge’ and also reconnect with alumni to contribute in tracer study program,” explained Sulistyowati.

After the opening speech of tracer study socialization 2019, the event was continued to technical explanation about how to use tracer study application which presented by Head of Subdirectorate of Information System and Data Analysis UGM, Hendranti Wisnu Saputro, S.T., M.Sc.

Similar to what Head of Subdirectorate of Alumni Relation has mentioned before, Wisnu also explained that tracer study will affect to UGM ranking in national level and the important role of enumerator towards success of tracer study program. The role of enumerator surely becomes ‘bridge’ between the rectorate and departments so it is expected to gain bigger response as well.

Moreover, Wisnu said that integrated database is the main thing to do to make data management easier. System development is continuously increased to make all data such as KRS, KKN, scholarship, could be able to be monitored through one main database system, SIMASTER.

“Tracer Study this year will be done through SIMASTER, in order to keep the account is able to be used continously, either for legalization or other necessities related to UGM,” added Wisnu.

Many ways are done to make tracer study program successful, such as broadcasting through social media, blasting in alumni email, and the enumerator as reminder to remind alumni to fill tracer study according to their account in SIMASTER. [UGM Alumni Relation/Article:Winona;Photo:Aan]
