Initiating the meeting agenda at the beginning of the year, the Directorate of Partnership, Alumni, and International Affairs of Universitas of Gadjah Mada (DKAUI UGM) through Sub-directorate of Alumni Relations held an agenda entitled “Coordination Meeting of Online Legalizing Service” on Thursday (26/01) afternoon. Taking place in the Multimedia Room of UGM Central Building, the meeting covered the optimization of alumni services and advances of online-based certificate legalization and alumni verification services development. The meeting that invited all Vice Dean and Section Head of Academic and Student Affairs also aims to establish a more synergic alumni service among the university and faculty levels.
As expressed by Dr. Paripurna, Vice Rector for Cooperation and Alumni UGM, meetings like this one are important in order to increase alumni and career services (UPAK), both on faculty and university levels. Especially today, UGM is committed to improving the quality of UGM alumni service. Such new innovation system of legalization that the future will be applied to the online system and centralized.
“UGM is committed to being the best in quality and service quality. Including service to alumni. This system is an innovative step forward to make it easier for service alumni, “he said.
In addition, Dr. Plenary said that the existing system is now quite good. However, related to the systematic and process flow should still be more optimized and easy to use. In addition, he also expects the agreement on the system of uniformity in service alumni. This is because the policy for diploma legalization and verification of alumni currently still in each faculty.
“Currently the system that has been built already considered quite good, but still needs to be optimized and synergized back. There should also be no uniformity in the system for legalization and verification services to a future that will use the online system, “said the plenary.
Also present at the coordination meeting, Dr. Sulistyowati, Head of Sub UGM Alumni Relations, which describes the progress of the alumni services at the university level. According to him, the current system of legalization and verification online is under development along with a team from the Directorate of Systems and Information Resources (DSSDI) UGM. Services for these alumni will become one with the symphony application. Hopefully, these services will be easily accessible to the UGM alumni wherever located.
“We are currently in the development and verification of diplomas legalization services online alumni of the symphony together DSSDI application services, including will cooperate well with the freight forwarders. That will allow the alumni in the management of legalization and verification,” he said
