PT Bank Negara Indonesia (BNI) is opening the opportunity for university graduates to have a career in banking through “BNI Rookie 46 – Talent Search” program. This step is as BNI’s effort to find qualified and strong human resources to be projected to become future leaders of the company. As was disclosed by Mucharom, Head of BNI’s Corporate Policy Governance Division, at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), on Monday (3/4) morning.
“We are looking for nation cadres, owners of premium talents with global competence to join BNI. Later, the best 46 people who pass the selection will be given the education to be projected to be managers in a very short time,” he said in front of 400 participants of ‘Roadshow BNI Goes To Campus’ that crowded Sukadji Ranuwihardjo Auditorium of MM FEB UGM.
The appointment of UGM as the first campus of ‘Roadshow BNI Goes To Campus in 2017’ was welcomed by the university. Dr. Anna Marie Watie, M.A, Head of UGM Directorate of Partnership, Alumni, and International Affairs, expressed her appreciation and appraise that the program initiated by BNI is very beneficial for UGM academic community.
“I think this is very good, not only for those who are interested in the banking career, but in general it can open insight into the career world that will be faced after university,” she said.
Not only the exposure of company profile and recruitment program, ‘BNI Goes To Campus’ also brought Billy Boen, a young entrepreneur and founder of Young on Top, to motivate the attending UGM students and alumni. In addition, the event that took place from 14:00 to 17:00 pm was enlivened by the appearance of Batiga Band that entertained the participants with their songs.
Aside from UGM, BNI will reorganize similar events in 9 other campuses, including Universitas Indonesia (Jakarta), Institut Teknologi Bandung (Bandung), Universitas Diponegoro (Semarang), Universitas Brawijaya (Malang) and Institut Teknologi Sepuluh Nopember (Surabaya). [Eggy]
