Sub-Directorate (Subdit) of Alumni Relations of Universitas Gadjah Mada invited all faculty enumerators to attend the Monitoring and Evaluation (Monev) of Tracer Study UGM 2017 on Friday (18/8) in Meeting Room I (Ruang Sidang I) of UGM Central Building. This is due to the work expiry of the enumerators appointed by each faculty. Aside from being a follow-up coordination, the implementation of this Monev is also to heed to the problems encountered by enumerators during their work, also to absorb criticism and suggestions for the progress of the next implementations.
According to the Head of Career Development and Alumni of UGM Sub-Directorate of Alumni Relations, Merryta Andriani, S.E., Akt., Tracer Study UGM 2017 implementation went smoothly without any significant obstacles in general. Merryta also gave appreciation to the faculty enumerators who have helped make UGM Tracer Study successful in line with the established target.
“The performance of the faculty enumerator team is very good and satisfying. Although it has not met the expected response rate target, at least it has exceeded the target of respondents in the implementation of the previous year Tracer Study UGM,” she said.
However, behind the success achieved, the implementation of Tracer Study UGM 2017 still leaves some notes that should be given attention from all parties. Among them are; the faculty’s contribution to send enumerators, alumni database that needs to be updated, and some technical problems of the online instruments used.
As stated Prandanaru, enumerator from the Faculty of Cultural Sciences, it is difficult to contact respondents because contact numbers in the current alumni database can not be contacted. He also suggested adding information related to the head of the year, in order to further optimize the dissemination of information to respondents.
“We think that the delivery of information through the head of the year is more effective and targets to more respondents, especially those whose contact number can not be contacted,” he said.
All inputs from the enumerators will be the attention of UGM Sub-Directorate of Alumni Relations for the implementation of Tracer Study UGM in 2018. Regarding the online instruments done by UGM Directorate of Information System and Resources (DSSDI), all technical constraints will also be promptly addressed by the established team.
“The application still needs some improvements, we are always open to inputs for the refinement of Tracer Study online instruments,” said Hendranti Wisnu Saputro, Head of Information System Development DSSDI who also attended the Monev.
