Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) through the Directorate of Partnership, Alumni, and International Affairs is now developing an online integrated alumni service system to facilitate alumni in managing administrative requirement.
One of the innovations is presenting online services for obtaining legalized certificates and transcripts without going to the campus. This service can facilitate alumni who have limited time or access difficulties to take care of legalization directly.
“Some faculty have implemented online legalization policies. Through this integrated system, we want to co-synergize online legalization service so it can be accessed by all UGM alumni,” said Drs. Sulistyowati, S.S., M.Hum., Head of Sub-directorate of Alumni Relations UGM when giving an explanation on “Online Legalization Socialization” on Thursday (22/3), in Multimedia Room of UGM Central Building.
According to Sulistyowati, the presence of this innovation is a form of UGM’s commitment to providing the best service for alumni. This service is also developed along with the many aspirations and requests from alumni who are residing outside of Yogyakarta. “Not only for the alumni in the country, this service can also be utilized by those who are currently residing abroad, both for academic and work purposes,” added Sulistyowati.
The integrated support system with the university alumni database has been prepared by the Directorate of Resources and Information Systems UGM and will be released in the near future. Later, the alumni who want to utilize this facility only need to access UGM alumni portal with alumni.ugm.ac.id address. Alumni will be required to fill in the application form and upload a number of supporting original documents for verification purposes.
UGM has also partnered with a logistic shipping service company, PT Pos Indonesia, to support direct deliveries to domicile addresses for alumni who require legalization in the form of physical documents.
During the system development phase, online certificate legalization and transcripts can now be assisted through an official request addressed to the Sub-directorate of Alumni Relations e-mail with address alumni@ugm.ac.id. [Eggy/Farah]
