Mitsui & Co., Ltd., and Universitas Gadjah Mada had MoU signing on Monday (04/04). The signing was conducted by Rector of UGM, Prof. Ir. Panut Mulyono, M.Eng., D.Eng., and President & CEO of PT Mitsui Indonesia, Motoaki Uno in Rector Office, UGM Main Building. There were also Director of DKAUI, Dr. Danang Sri Hadmoko, S.Si., M.Sc. and Shinya Kameyama as Executive Profile of PT Mitsui Indonesia.
The MoU is related to internship program and alumni recruitment. Rector of UGM added, the partnership between UGM and PT Mitsui Indonesia had ever done before, but within the MoU that has been agreed upon both sides, the partnership relation will get stronger and many UGM graduates have opportunity to make their career in PT Mitsui Indonesia.
The recruitment process that will be conducted is to pick from alumni recommendation which has been sent to PT Mitsui Indonesia and expected to start this September. PT Mitsui Indonesia tends to pick alumni from engineering department because this company focuses on infrastructure and manufacture sector, but there is still another opportunity from other departments to apply according to the position available.
PT Mitsui Indonesia which has big project in Tanjung Priok also offers internship opportunity for UGM students for one to two months period. There are 8 UGM students who become interns in PT Mitsui Indonesia during 2018-2019 period.
Recruitment MoU signing later this morning was expected to be an early step to the upcoming partnership between PT Mitsui Indonesia and UGM and also becomes an opportunity for students or alumni to join PT Mitsui Indonesia.
