Suporahardjo is an alumnus from the Faculty of Forestry majoring in Forest Management at Universitas Gadjah Mada. Since in college, the man whose familiarly called Lek Hang is active in journalism. He was recorded as an active member of the Balairung press editorial team (one of UGM Student Publishing and Press Agencies). Suporahardjo was also a member of Forestry’s National Ministry Republic Indonesia. In 2010, Suporahardjo together with his wife, Farcha Ciciek, created a child-friendly learning community in their area of residence. This is done because seeing various social problems that exist in the village where he lives such as poverty, high unemployment rates, and low levels of formal education make the village community marginalized by the flow of technological advances and globalization. Supo and his wife’s concern is realized by taking concrete steps through positive activities that they transmit to the surrounding community. They revived the traditional “egrang” game in the neighborhood of Ledokombo children, the majority of whom were the children of Indonesian Migrant Workers (IMW) whose parents had worked or had been left overseas working. He then formed a learning community called “Tanoker” which in Madura means cocoon. Ledokombo then became the Tourism Learning Village. Together with the Tanoker community, he has actively held the Egrang Festival since 2010. Suporaharjo has also succeeded in reviving the local economy with the emergence of creative, culinary and homestay craft groups called “Tanocraft”. For his dedication and high social care, this man who was born in Jember won many awards. Suporaharjo won the Forestry Achiever Award from the NGO sector (2011), the Pioneer of Jember Revived in Arts and Culture Field (2016) until the Achiever Artists in Development of Arts and Culture in East Java (2016) and won the 2017 Indonesian Achievement Festival in Social Activist category. For his achievements, dedications, and contributions as UGM alumni, on the eve of 2018 UGM Outstanding Achievement Award, Suporaharjo won the Cultural Preservation category.
