As alumni of History Department of 1992, Agus Setiyanto dedicated himself in culture preservation and he became the winner of Alumni Awards 2013 Category Culture Preservation. He once became Head Chief of Culture and Tourism Board, Bengkulu Province from 2009 to 2011 before he became a lecturer in Universitas Bengkulu.
He is also Art Trainer Gamat Bengkulu and had written 10 books about culture. He also once became Second Vice Chief of Art Council, Bengkulu Province.
