DIY Polda HR Bureau in collaboration with the Sub Directorate of Alumni Relations at Universitas Gadjah Mada conducted a socialization on the acceptance of the Bachelor Degree Police Inspector School (SIPSS) on Tuesday (21/1) held on the 2nd Floor of the UGM Central Library.
The recruitment of the Indonesian National Police recently opened formation for alumni in the health sector. Previously, POLDA had selected seven participants from the health and psychology clusters and was filtered into three participants who had reached the final stage.
The Head of Human Resources Control Section of POLDA DIY said that UGM provides human resources that are better compare to other places and are also needed by POLRI units to fill several positions. The collaboration between UGM and POLDA DIY this time is to directly select alumni or final-year students (S2 or specialists) who are interested in taking part in POLRI through the SIPSS pathway.
This time the socialization activity was related to the final stage of the selection process which would later be carried out in the form of education before finally being declared qualified to join the POLRI unit. Registration can be done online by visiting the POLRI acceptance page directly and completing the required documents. The questions from the participants are related to the development of field competencies if they have been accepted and joined in the police unit.
“For those who will later qualified, they can still open their private practices, such as doctors, even though they have worked as general practitioners in the police,” said representatives of DIY POLDA units.
Education in the police is very different from education in general because the aim is to prioritize the field of science that has been possessed but at the same time balanced with physical training and discipline such as understanding the rules in the police. Humanitarian values will also continue to be instilled considering the police are very attached to their lives with the community.
POLRI recruitment for SIPSS began in January and will begin the education period in March. The total number of new members needed is 75 people from all over Indonesia.
