Ruangguru in collaboration with the Sub Directorate of Alumni Relations held the Ruangguru Goes to Campus on Thursday (2/27) at 10:00 until completion. This activity is intended for alumni or final year students who are interested in joining Ruangguru.
The activity began with remarks by Dr. Hatma Suryatmojo, S.Hut., M.Sc.. Dr.Hatma stated that during a visit to Ruangguru Jakarta, he saw how Ruangguru was able to produce very serious learning content by involving young children.
“UGM gives great appreciation to Ruangguru for its achievements and we hope Ruangguru is a career opportunity for alumni and students here,” he said.
After that, the remarks were delivered by Ritchie Goenawan as VP of Business & Operation Ruangguru.
Ritchie said that Ruangguru was originally an organization that served students from elementary to high school. Now Ruangguru has evolved to the present as a platform for tutoring with interestingly packaged content.
“Ruangguru still needs about 1,000 to 2,000 more teaching staff. So Ruangguru hopes that UGM can join in and improve Ruangguru to be even better,” he said.
After the remarks, the program continued with Ruangguru Talkshow related to the Management Associate Program (MAP), Indonesia Teacher Prize 2020, and Summer Internship Program. The first presentation was delivered by Jonathan Febrianto as MAP 1st Batch Ruangguru. This program is a program that has just been formed in 2020. The aim of the program is to look for Ruangguru’s future leaders because Ruangguru already has plans for the next ten (10) years.”
This program has 3 core points. First, the duration is only 2 years and it is expected that within 2 years his career can be accelerated. Second, participants will be placed in 3 different departments so they know how vibes are from different groups and are expected to develop a framework for thinking and collaborating. Third, the hyper impact program will push the limits of the participants to reach certain targets,” he said.
The next presentation was delivered by Elsa Dilla Derstyasa, Ruangguru Master Teacher Pedagogy and Faizal Aziz, Ruangguru Master Teacher Assessment. Ruangguru at the same time conducted a walk-in-interview for the position of Master Teacher that has been carried out in several universities in other cities.
After the talk show which presented around 100 participants, Ruangguru also organized teaching training activities. The participants were divided into small groups and each participant practiced to teach in front of the class like a teacher.
This activity is expected to be a forum for universities, especially UGM, and Ruangguru to produce qualified teaching resources in educating children of the country.
