The third day of the UGM Virtual Career Fair 2020 in November ran smoothly on Thursday (19/11). Three companies and two institutions presented on the last day of the virtual career fair. They were Lenovo Indonesia, Bank Amar, Nuffic Neso, Optimus Consulting, and IFI-LIP Yogyakarta.
Lenovo Indonesia commenced the presentation by explaining the digital transformation. Technology changed rapidly affected our habits. In the future, everything would rely on smart technology. Therefore educational institutions must adjust to meet the global technological transformations. Lenovo itself continues to develop its products to become smart devices that help people carry out their activities, especially in studying and working. Smart devices are believed to help make work easier, sharpen knowledge and human potential.
Bank Amar followed next. It is a digital bank that focuses on the retail and MSME sectors. Bank Amar launched “Tunaiku“, a fintech loan product that offers collateral-free credit in a fast and convenient way. Tunaiku is the primary product of Bank Amar and is supported by an excellent credit assessment system. Bank Amar is also developing “Senyumku”, a facility that will help manage millennial finances. Bank Amar also opened job vacancies for participants who were interested in joining.
Nuffic Neso, an institution that assists students or alumni in pursuing their studies in the Netherlands, presented the scholarships offered and the counselling program. They also explained the good points and advantages of studying in the Netherlands.
Then, it was continued by Optimus Consulting, a human resource consulting start-up company. Its tagline “creating values” aims to produce excellent human resources for its client. Optimus Consulting clients rely on its services for recruitment and job evaluation. The company also opened job vacancies in marketing executive for client companies and occupational psychology for Optimus Consulting.
The last presentation was delivered by IFI-LIP Yogyakarta, an Indonesian French institution that facilitates students or alumni to pursue their studies in France. In this session, IFI-LIP Yoyakarta explained scholarships offered and its requirement. Despite the pandemic, IFI-LIP Yogyakarta welcomed online counseling for those interested in finding out more information.
The third day of UGM VCF 2020 in November was the last virtual job fair in 2020. This event was held for three months in a row. This event was expected to assist alumni and final-year students in finding more information on internship opportunities, job vacancies, and studying abroad. Furthermore, this event aimed to strengthen the synergy between universities, stakeholders, and government to produce excellent human resources to meet the industrial market’s needs in Indonesia and abroad.
