The Directorate of Partnership, Alumni, and Global Initiatives, in collaboration with the Indonesian National Police (POLRI), held Dissemination of Proactive Recruitment of Police Officers for Bachelors on Thursday (10/12) through the Zoom Meeting Room.
Dr. Danang Srihadmoko, S.Si., M.Sc., the Director of Partnerships, Alumni and Global initiatives, in his welcoming speech, stated that the National Police had been working with UGM for a while and held special recruitment to recruit final year students or alumni. Dr. Danang also said that many UGM alumni had taken part in the National Police.
UGM had facilitated stakeholders, which opened the recruitments. Therefore, they could easily access the information on Simaster. The recruitment for National Police had been integrated with the system. Students, who are in the relevant field, could look at the information and register through Simaster.
After the welcoming speech, Dr. Kif Aminanto, S.I.K., S.H., M.H, Police Grand Commissioner, explained the recruitment of Police Inspector School for Bachelors.
In general, there are 75 quotas for six months of education. Those who pass are projected to fill specific posts according to their undergraduate expertise. On this occasion, the National Police focused on final year students or alumni from the Department of French Literature, General Practitioners, Surgeons, Internists, Forensic Specialists, Computer Science, Psychology, Information Technology, Nuclear Engineering, and Electro Engineering.
The test was commenced with administrative checks, followed by social media tracking, skills competency tests, health checks conducted twice (Medical Check-up I & II including cadet health condition). After that, there will be psychological tests and interviews, physical tests, managerial abilities, and the last one was the final interview with the central committee. This proactive recruitment is categorized into two; based on their awards and talent scouting (academic achievement).
This dissemination was expected to facilitate final-year students and alumni who were interested in joining the National Police. Moreover, it was expected that the National Police could attract alumni to join.
