Success depends on previous preparation, so planning as early as possible is needed to achieve the goals. It was stated in a webinar entitled “Arise to The Stars” hosted by Universitas Gadjah Mada, in collaboration with PT United Family Food (Unifam) on Friday (9/7).
Dr. Sulistyowati, S.S., M.Hum., said in her welcoming speech that the webinar would provide myriad information so that participants could see their capabilities and potential to reach opportunities and be excellent human resources.
Unifam is a food and beverage company that has been around for 40 years. The company has expanded its offices to several countries in Southeast Asia to the United States, with about 5,000 employees.
Wishnu Pramuji, Unifam’s Chief Operating Officer, kickstarted his webinar by elaborating Unifam core values. It’s called ARISE: Aggressive, Respect, Innovative, Spirit of Ownership, and Excellence. It becomes a culture at Unifam. He said that success does not come in an instant.
“Success is a status when we achieve and complete a goal,” he said.
He then elaborated that success comes from a well-operated system of you, choice, behavior, habits, consistency, and result. To achieve success, you must first have a goal that will later lead a person to the peak of his career. There are intrinsic goals called desires that impact strengthening character, and extrinsic goals called material desires, which affect the stages towards success. However, bear in mind that a successful goal is one that has been achieved and completed. Therefore, Wishnu said at least we must have short-term goals and also long-term goals. He hoped that participants could always maintain their enthusiasm in achieving their goals.
Next in line was Windy Prastiwi, Head of Human Capital Unifam, who explained the available programs in Unifam. Unifam opened vacancies for 16 trainees from all majors for On-Boarding program. The requirements did not differ much from others. The specific requirements is that the applicants should show good English skills, critical thinking, good communication skills, and have a growth mindset, can-do attitude, accountability, and integrity.
Through the event, participants were expected to gain information to prepare themselves before applying for jobs. This activity was also a concrete action of the synergy between UGM and partners in developing and producing excellent human resources to advance Indonesia.
