UGM successfully hosted the third day of Virtual Career Fair 2021. The event was held on Thursday (5/8) and attended by more than 150 participants. Many participants were interested in joining the event despite the fact that it was the last day of UGM VCF. On top of that, they were enthusiastically responding to the speakers.
The speakers of the third day of UGM VCF were five corporate partners, one scholarship institution, and a career class by KAGAMA. PT Mayora Indah Tbk commenced the webinar by illustrating its company profile and explaining its career paths. Next, Deepublish Publisher described the work culture at Deepublish and its benefits and payment. Following that, PT Primafood Internasional, a subsidiary of the Charoen Pokphand Group, introduced its company profiles and continued with informing the job vacancies. Next in line was Sucor Sekuritas, who shared knowledge and information about securities and the obtained benefit. On top of that, job vacancies are open to various study programs.
Today’s career class by KAGAMA was hosted by dr. Theresia Handayani. She explained “Work-Life Balance in the style of Millennials and Gen Z”. She stated how important it was to balance daily life and work, especially during pandemic era, where we do everything from home and online. The work-life balance can be achieved through four main aspects; balanced nutrition, regular exercise, adequate sleep, and minimal stress. Shall we succed implementing them, many benefits will come. Staying young and healthy at any age is no longer impossible.
Following the career class, the Français D’Indonésie Yogyakarta Institute or IFI-LIP continually presented in the UGM VCF 2021. IFI-LIP highlighted that France is currently the fifth-rank most popular country for nternational students. In other words, France is a friendly country for international students to study. On top of that, many scientists and academics from France have received many awards for their discoveries to the world. Therefore, IFI-LIP offers courses as well as tips and tricks to get scholarships and study in France.
Last in line was a company introduction by PT Payfazz Teknologi Nusantara. Established in 2016, this start-up company engages in financial technology. The speaker also spilled tips related to interviews, including the preparation, the character building, and the attitudes taken during the interview.
Today marked the end of UGM VCF 2021 for the August period. For three consecutive days, this event was expected to enrich participants’ knowledge and provide them with insight to plan their job applications. On top of that, it was hoped that participants would understand their interests and passions better. UGM VCF 2021 is concrete proof of the synergy between the government, universities, and corporate partners in producing outstanding human resources to compete globally. UGM VCF will continue to cooperate with quality partners to create the outstanding human resources for country advancement.
