The third day of UGM Virtual Career Fair 2021 was held on Thursday (4/11) through the Zoom Meeting Room. Approximately 150 participants attended the event. Today marked the last day of UGM VCF November 2021. Six companies presented at the event.
Cargill Indonesia kicked off the third day of UGM VCF by hosting a career class under the theme “Female Leader in Manufacturing”. Gender is not a matter of being a leader. Leadership skill comes first; how to handle the problems and take the challenge to develop oneself. Besides, it also matters of time management: prioritizing and balancing the life between family, company, spiritual belief, and social.
Next in line was a career class by PT Motor (AHM) on “How to Pass the Recruitment Process”. As might be expected from a pioneer company in the motorcycle industry in Indonesia, many job seekers are competing for career opportunities at AHM. As for recruitment, AHM starts the test from the administration to interview. He then spilled some tips and tricks to pass all the tests. One of them is to create a good cv by writing about our achievements and skills. Then, during the interview, we are expected to better understand the company profile and find a comfy place for an online interview.
KAGAMA continued the session with a career class entitled “Be Care of Your Mental Health” Dr. Moordiningsih, M.Sc. She explained how our mental health is part of wellbeing, personality in our work, interrelationship, and being happy at work. It should be noted that we have to be grateful, avoid overthinking, learn to forgive, commit to life goals, etc. Shall we instill them, we could minimize the stress at work.
Next in line was a company profile presented by CoLearn. CoLearn is an educational institution dedicated to creating a competitive generation globally by applying the best educational methods and technology. After that, more companies presented their profile such as PT Summarecon Agung Tbk, one of the property companies in Indonesia, especially in urban planning development; CIMB Niaga, the sixth-largest financial services company in Indonesia; and the last was Forest Interactive Indonesia, a telecommunications platform provider that provides innovative and revenue-generating solutions for mobile operators.
Apart from delivering their company profile, the speakers also spilled some tips to pass the recruitments tests and skills to hone to compete in the industrial world. Partner companies also open internship and recruitment opportunities for graduates by sending CV directly to the shared link.
UGM VCF is conducted as a means to connect universities, industry partners, and students and alumni. It is expected to create talents who are ready to compete globally. This event is expected to provide information and opportunities for final year students and alumni looking for a job. Also, it is hoped that the participant could equip themselves much better after gaining a myriad of information through this event.
