The third day of the UGM Virtual Career Fair went smoothly on Thursday, (23/06). This was the last day of UGM VCF June 2022. Today’s event featured eight partners and KAGAMA.
This event was commenced by Schlumberger, a service provider company in the energy sector and has operated in more than 120 countries. This company presented its company profile and recruitment. Next was a career class delivered by PT Bank Central Asia Tbk under the title “Let’s Begin by Daydreaming, and Finish by Joining BCA”. The participants were invited to take a step to achieve their dreams.
Next in line was a company profile presentation by Creative Faith, a company engaged in strategic agency, and Johnson & Johnson, a multinational manufacturer of pharmaceuticals, medical equipment, and consumer goods. Not only the company profile, the speaker also gave tips and tricks to pass recruitment process.
Following that was KAGAMA career class delivered by Theresia Kusumaningtyas, Division Head of Learning & Development of Permata Bank. The theme was “How to Prepare for Culture Shock on Your First Job” to prepare fresh graduates to start working. Tyas shared the steps that must be taken, including preparation, five tips on hit ground running (open mind, friendly, understanding business, adapting fast, engaging with informal activities), and making work fun.
Following the career class was a company profile presentation and recruitment info from Kalla Group, one of the largest business groups in eastern Indonesia and CAD-IT Consultant, an IT service company and IT consultant.
Again, a career class by PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia with the title “Preparing for Life After University: Finding Career Clarity” which discussed what to prepare for after graduation and how to determine the career we want. The last presentation was closed by the Saraswanti Group, a business group with a conglomerate-type holding company.
UGM VCF is a concrete synergy between partners and universities to improve the quality of human resources for students and alumni.
It is expected that the participants can gain a myriad of knowledge and start planning what to prepare for job applications. In addition, participants can take the opportunity provided by today’s speakers.
