Directorate of Partnerships, Alumni, and Global Initiatives, in collaboration with Bank Indonesia (BI), hosted online dissemination of Candidate Young Employee Education (PCPM), on Wednesday (13/07). Approximately 160 participants attended the event enthusiastically.
The event commenced with remarks by the Head Chief of Sub-directorate of Alumni Relations, Dr. Sulistyowati, S.S., M. Hum. She expressed that BI and UGM had collaborated for many times, and today it was the dissemination for PCPM. She added that UGM appreciated the collaboration to send UGM’s best graduates to BI and that BI’s HR needs can also be met.
“Hopefully, this dissemination will lead to many recruited participants. In addition, the participants were welcomed to ask anything related to PCPM, so that many UGM graduates will have careers in BI,” she said.
Next in line was a presentation by Dika Prasetya Putra, a representative from BI. Dika kicked off his presentation by describing the company profile. BI is an independent institution, which is also the central bank of the Republic of Indonesia. Then, he explained the working environment and culture after explaining the BI’s achievement. BI provides facilities for all employees to develop their potential and ideas. Besides that, BI even considers employees’ well-being and work-life balance.
He then disseminated PCPM 37. There are two recruitment routes: open recruitment, open to all universities, and specific targets such as campus hiring for local universities and abroad.
The recruitment process is divided into six steps. The first stage is screening. The second stage is the basic potency test and person-organization fit, then the third stage is a general knowledge test of central banking and English, the fourth stage is a psychological test, LGD, and psychological interviews. Then the fifth stage is the medical and psychiatric test, and the last is the final interview. However, Dika emphasized that PCPM participants will leap to the fourth stage after the screening. The background of the required majors is also different, but it does not limit the opportunity of other majors. The seminar was followed by Q&A sessions, which ran interactively as many were interested in PCPM.
It is hoped that BI could recruit many excellent resources from UGM graduates. At the same time, many UGM graduates could land professional jobs without a long queue. Through this dissemination, participants could also learn many tips and tricks to prepare for PCPM.
