The UGM Alumni Office organized a Workshop on the Development of the 2024 Tracer Study Questionnaire on Tuesday (30/1). The event, held at Room P.5.3, Pertamina Tower, Faculty of Economics and Business UGM was attended by the Tracer Study Task Force team from all faculties and schools at UGM.
The workshop opened with a welcome address from the Head of UGM Alumni Office, Dr. Sulistyowati, S.S., M.Hum. In her speech, Dr. Sulistyowati expressed gratitude for the support provided by all study program staff in achieving the Key Performance Indicator (IKU) 1.
“Tracer Study is extremely important for UGM, and your active participation has made a significant contribution,” she emphasized.
Dr. Sulistyowati also mentioned that one of the challenges faced in conducting the Tracer Study has been the excessive number of questions in the questionnaire. This challenge became a focal point of the workshop, where participants carefully reviewed the questionnaire structure to make it more effective. By reducing irrelevant questions, it is expected that alumni’s participation in responding to the survey will increase.
In this year’s UGM Tracer Study, the target for IKU 1 achievement was set at 80%, and it was successfully surpassed with the 2023 IKU 1 achievement reaching 85%. This success motivates all stakeholders to continuously improve the Tracer Study system. Dr. Sulistyowati expressed her hope that the system will continue to be enhanced to better serve alumni, fulfill their needs, and ensure their contributions to society are optimized.
The workshop provided a platform for discussion and formulation of concrete steps that can be taken to optimize the Tracer Study system. With cooperation from all parties, it is hoped that this system will deliver greater benefits to alumni and meet UGM’s goals of monitoring alumni careers and contributions.
