UGM, in collaboration with United Family Food, held a career seminar titled ‘Because This Is My First Career Journey’ at the Sekip Room, 1st floor of UGM University Club Hotel, on Monday (March 4). This insightful event aimed to inspire the younger generation as they embark on their first career journey.
The seminar consisted of three key sessions: a company profile presentation, an inspirational seminar, and an exclusive walk-in interview. The participants were UGM alumni who graduated in 2023-2024, with a total of 170 enthusiastic applicants attending the event.
The event kicked off with a presentation by Windy Prastiwi, Head of Human Capital & Corporate Affairs at PT United Family Food. In her presentation, she shared insights on the importance of thorough preparation for the younger generation as they face their first career. With her extensive experience and knowledge, Windy offered valuable advice on how to develop oneself and tackle challenges in the working world.
Following that, Mr. Arief Frediyanto, Human Capital Manager at PT United Family Food, delivered a presentation on career opportunities at Unifam and the company profile. In this session, seminar participants gained in-depth information about the company and various job opportunities for those interested in joining United Family Food.
The primary goal of this seminar was to motivate fresh graduates to make wise decisions when choosing their first career. Participants were encouraged to draw inspiration from the experienced speakers and apply it to their career journeys to secure a meaningful and rewarding job.
Additionally, this event was expected to bridge the gap between the company’s needs and the best talents from UGM. Through the exclusive walk-in interview, United Family Food provided seminar participants with the opportunity to apply directly and potentially start their careers at the company.
This initiative by United Family Food and UGM not only supports the professional development of young talents but also aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly Goal 8: Decent Work and Economic Growth. By empowering fresh graduates with the knowledge and opportunities to make informed career choices, the seminar contributes to fostering sustainable economic growth and promoting productive employment for all, which are key components of this global agenda. Through events like this, United Family Food is playing a vital role in driving progress toward achieving these goals, ensuring that the next generation is equipped to build a prosperous and inclusive future.
