PT Indo Kordsa Tbk, a company majoring in Tire Fabric, Nylon & Polyester Yarn, and Industrial Yarn/Artificial Filament Yarn, held a webinar “Shaping Tomorrow: Sustainable Practices in Manufacturing.” The webinar was conducted online on Tuesday (14/5).

The webinar featured Adzkia Andriani, an Environmental & Sustainability Engineer from PT Indo Kordsa Tbk, as the keynote speaker. In her presentation, Adzkia discussed the importance of sustainable practices in the industry and how companies can embark on a sustainability journey and achieve sustainability targets in line with the SDGs.

One of the points discussed was the role of stakeholders in shaping sustainable practices. Stakeholders such as communities, customers, governments, and investors provide feedback through surveys, which the company then uses to draft sustainability reports. For example, the government might request a reduction in emissions or water usage, and the industry will work to manage these aspects to meet the targets and expectations of stakeholders.

PT Indo Kordsa Tbk has set ambitious sustainability targets in the environmental field, including a 4.2% annual emission reduction and achieving carbon neutrality by 2050. The company is also committed to reducing waste, lowering water intake intensity, and increasing female employment rates.

This event provided valuable insights into PT Indo Kordsa Tbk’s efforts to create a sustainable future through sustainable practices in the tire manufacturing industry.

“Always remember that what is done today will impact the future. Sustainability will eventually become a framework that encompasses almost all aspects of life, including environment, social, and governance,” said Adzkia.

By organizing this webinar, PT Indo Kordsa Tbk hopes to raise awareness and encourage collaboration between companies and stakeholders to achieve sustainable manufacturing practices.
