Youth Educational Center, a career development-focused coaching institute, held an online webinar with over 100 participants on Wednesday (15/5). The webinar aimed to provide information to UGM students and alumni on career preparation after graduation.
The founder of the Youth Educational Center, Hafidh Rifky, opened the presentation by discussing life after graduation. He outlined four scenarios available for participants entering the workforce: being self-employed, an employee, a business owner, or an investor. Hafidh emphasized that each choice has its pros and cons. Therefore, it is crucial for graduates to carefully consider their decision.
One common issue faced by fresh graduates is the gap in knowledge and skills. This gap can make it challenging for job seekers to find positions that truly match their qualifications. From a company’s perspective, this issue can lead to a decline in long-term performance.
To address this, Hafidh stressed that thorough preparation is key to overcoming career challenges. He noted that good preparation will help students and alumni navigate the job market more effectively.
“AI usage in the recruitment process should not be a barrier. As long as you understand the key points of the macro selection process and have prepared yourself optimally, it should not be a problem,” Hafidh said.
During the webinar, participants also had the opportunity to practice past CPNS and BUMN test questions. As they practiced, they gained insight into different types of written test questions and tips on how to answer them effectively as well as improved their written test skills.
This webinar is part of the implementation of SDG 8, which aims to promote productive, inclusive employment and decent work for all. The YEC Career Preparation Webinar aims to offer deeper insights and information on job selection preparation and help participants secure their dream jobs.
