PT Astra Honda Motor held the “Vlogger Goes to Campus” program at Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM), Yogyakarta, on Wednesday (12/6). The event aimed to inspire students to become successful content creators. During the event, vloggers shared their experiences and tips on creating powerful and engaging content.
The speakers, who are inspirational figures in the content creation world, emphasized the importance of innovation and creativity in developing impactful content. They not only shared technical tips but also instilled the right mindset, focusing on self-development and building a strong personal brand rather than just chasing trends or fleeting opportunities.
This aligns with the transformation of Indonesia’s creative industry, which is increasingly open to young people to express themselves and create. With an innovative spirit and an entrepreneurial mindset, young content creators have the potential to become agents of change, driving the progress of the national creative industry.
“Indonesia has many opportunities for content creators to grow. But don’t just chase opportunities; develop yourself so that those opportunities come to you,” said Den Dimas, a motorcycle enthusiast who has also found success as a content creator.
In the material session, the speakers shared practical tips for students to start a career as content creators.
“Creating content is easy if you’re willing. There are many ways to get ideas, from exploring what you love to doing research and exploration,” said Alvin.
The speakers also stressed the importance of building a brand, maintaining consistency, engaging with followers, and upholding professionalism.
“Your branding is an asset, and your followers are assets. Find your value as a content creator,” Alvin advised.
It is hoped that similar programs will continue to be held at various campuses, encouraging more young people to contribute to Indonesia’s digital creative industry ecosystem. In doing so, Indonesia can further establish itself as one of Asia’s centers of digital innovation and creativity.
