Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) and KAGAMA Media have engaged in a strategic collaboration to boost UGM’s reputation and visibility as a leading higher education institution in Indonesia. This partnership was formalized through a discussion held at Hotel Dafam Enkadeli, Jakarta on Thursday (13/6).
The event was attended by UGM alumni working in the media industry, including several UGM leaders such as the Director of Partnership and Global Relations, Prof. Dr. Puji Astuti, S.Si., M.Sc., Apt., the Head of the Quality Assurance and University Reputation Unit, Prof. Dr. Indra Wijaya Kusuma, M.B.A., and the Head of the Alumni Office, Dr. Sulistyowati, S.S., M.Hum.
In his presentation, Prof. Indra stated that the university plans to tap into the potential of UGM alumni within KAGAMA Media to play an active role in enhancing the university’s reputation both nationally and globally. He emphasized that the contributions of UGM alumni will be crucial in increasing the university’s visibility.
“We will collaborate with KAGAMA Media to develop strategies to highlight the profiles of UGM alumni who contribute across various fields,” said Prof. Indra.
Prof. Puji Astuti, Director of Partnership and Global Relations at UGM, added that this collaboration will leverage both conventional and new media channels to promote the achievements of UGM alumni. The aim is for prominent alumni in various sectors to effectively build a positive image of the university.
“We are confident that the synergy between UGM and KAGAMA Media will have a significant impact on enhancing UGM’s reputation both nationally and globally,” concluded Prof. Puji.
The collaboration between UGM and KAGAMA is expected to foster a positive image of the university on both national and international stages. The role of media is key in promoting the profiles and achievements of UGM alumni, thereby improving the university’s competitiveness.
