UGM Alumni Office organized the UGM Integrated Career Days on June 15-16, 2024, held at the Grha Sabha Pramana UGM. This year’s event, one of Yogyakarta’s largest job fairs, was centered around the theme “Knight’s Quest: Forge Your Career Destiny.”
UGM Integrated Career Days reflect UGM’s commitment to supporting the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly focusing on decent work and economic growth. The open-to-public event showcases UGM’s inclusive approach to addressing community employment needs.
“UGM is dedicated to developing Indonesia’s top talent. As a leading institution, we continuously adapt our curriculum and learning experiences to meet the evolving needs of the industry,” said Prof. Dr. Wening Udasmoro, S.S., M.Hum., DEA.
The two-day event featured a range of activities, including career expos, career talks, workshops, and counseling. These sessions aimed to offer valuable insights, skills, and guidance to participants, helping them become high-quality and competitive professionals.
This event was attended by Muchamad Yusuf, S.T., M.Si., Head of the Labor Market Center at the Ministry of Manpower, Aria Nugrahadi, S.T., M.Eng., Head of the Department of Manpower and Transmigration of Yogyakarta, and Ibu Sumaryati, S.Sos., M.Si., Head of Placement at the Sleman Manpower Office. UGM’s ongoing support from the Ministry of Manpower highlights the strong partnership between UGM and the Ministry in preparing Indonesia’s top talent.
In his speech, Muchamad Yusuf emphasized the crucial role of UGM alumni in driving Indonesia’s economic growth. “Now is the perfect time to harness Indonesia’s demographic advantage. UGM alumni have the qualifications needed to propel the country’s economic development,” he said.
