To boost graduate employability, Gadjah Mada University (UGM) partnered with LinkedIn to organize the UGM Integrated Career Days 2024. This collaboration, facilitated by UGM’s Alumni Office, aimed to better prepare graduates for the job market.
During the UGM Integrated Career Days 2024, students and alumni were given the chance to connect with LinkedIn partner companies, participate in career development sessions, and explore various job opportunities. One of the workshops, “Optimizing Your CV and LinkedIn Profile,” was led by Josandy Maha Putra, LinkedIn Local Partner.
“Through this workshop, we aimed to provide UGM students and alumni with valuable insights on optimizing their LinkedIn profiles to enhance their job market competitiveness,” said Josandy Maha Putra.
Dr. Sulistyowati, Head of UGM’s Alumni Office, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration with LinkedIn. “This partnership was a strategic move to equip our graduates with both the soft and hard skills needed in today’s industry. UGM Integrated Career Days 2024 served as a great platform for students and alumni to network and improve their job prospects,” she noted.
UGM Integrated Career Days 2024 took place on June 15-16, 2024, at the Grha Sabha Pramana UGM, and was attended by the Vice Rector for Education and Teaching and the Head of the Labor Market Center of the Ministry of Manpower of the Republic of Indonesia.
UGM Integrated Career Days 2024, organized in collaboration with LinkedIn, exemplifies a commitment to several Sustainable Development Goals. By enhancing students’ and alumni’s employability through targeted workshops and networking opportunities, the event supports Quality Education (SDG 4) and Decent Work and Economic Growth (SDG 8). The partnership between UGM and LinkedIn also highlights the importance of effective collaboration in achieving these goals, reflecting the essence of Partnerships for the Goals (SDG 17). This initiative not only prepares graduates for the job market but also fosters a more sustainable and inclusive economic environment.
