Gadjah Mada University (UGM), through the Alumni Office, continues the efforts to monitor and evaluate graduate absorption through the tracer study program on Tuesday (30/7). Present, the Head of the UGM Alumni Office, Dr. Sulistyowati, S.S., M.Hum., presented the achievements of the Main Performance Indicators (IKU) in 2024 based on study programs as of July 2024.
In her quarterly report, Dr. Sulistyowati stated that the IKU 1 achievement in 2024 reached 85%. This figure was obtained using the graduate population as the basis for calculation. She also explained the changes in graduate absorption criteria in 2023 and 2024.
“The results of this monitoring and evaluation are important to continuously improve the quality of UGM graduates so they can be absorbed in the workforce. Therefore, inter-unit collaboration, such as between faculties and the alumni office, is the key to the success of this tracer study program,” said Dr. Sulistyowati.
In the occasion, a sharing session on tracer study management was conducted by several speakers, including the Vice Dean for Research, Community Service, Cooperation, and Alumni of the Faculty of Economics and Business UGM, Gumilang Aryo Sahadewo, SE., M.A., Ph.D., Coordinator of Partnerships, Admissions, and Alumni Unit of the Faculty of Economics and Business UGM, Dian Asmara Djati, S.S., as well as representatives from the Faculty of Dentistry and Faculty of Psychology UGM, Ahmad Muttaqin, A.Md., and Mochamad Rifki Fahrurrozi S.S., M.A.
The moderator of this session was Mgs. Muhammad Prima Putra, S.Pi., M.Sc., Ph.D., a lecturer from the Faculty of Agriculture UGM. This event demonstrates UGM’s commitment to comprehensively monitoring and evaluating graduate absorption, as well as encouraging inter-unit collaboration to improve the quality of graduates and their readiness to face the workforce.
The monitoring and evaluation program of the tracer study not only impacts the improvement of graduate quality and absorption in the workforce but also supports the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 4 on quality education. As a higher education institution, UGM will continue to commit to ensuring its graduates possess skills relevant to market needs, by contributing to the creation of decent work for the younger generation.
