The Job Creation Law has lately been a hot topic. Various communities, organizations, institutions, and educational institutions have started to chime in on the policy, and Universitas Gadjah Mada was no exception. Therefore, the university held the Sinergy of UGM and the KAGAMA Expert Council webinar entitled “Review of Law No. 11/2020 on Job Creation” through the Zoom conference on Tuesday (17/11).
Directorate of Partnership, Alumni, and Global Innitiatives held a workshop on designing the 2021 UGM Tracer Study for the Master Degree on Wednesday (11/11) in UC Hotel. Attending this event were the PIC of Tracer Study from each study program.
UGM award night was conducted offline on Wednesday (4/11) at the UGM Hall and online through Zoom Meeting Room and Youtube. The event is a series of the 71st UGM Dies Natalis which will be commemorated on 19 December.
KAGAMACare and UGM Alumni House, in collaboration with PT Bukit Asam, Tbk., Tlatah Bocah, and Alpad 88, held a Drawing Jamboree “Love the Environment with Bukit Alam” on Sunday (1/11) via Zoom conference. The event was intended as a reminder to protect the environment around us from an early age.
The Synergy of UGM and KAGAMA kickstarted the third day of UGM Virtual Career Fair 2020 on Thursday (22/10). Bringing “Seizing Job Opportunities during a Pandemic” as a theme, the webinar was broadcasted through Zoom and YouTube live-streaming.
UGM successfully hosted the second day of UGM Virtual Career Fair 2020 on Wednesday (22/10). Six corporate partners—Bank Indonesia, PT Arutala Digital Inovasi, PT Niagahoster, Detikcom, Widya Indonesia Group, and Rosebrand—spoke on the webinar and sharing session.
UGM Career Virtual Fair 2020 returned on Tuesday (20/10). UGM VCF is a virtual career fair that has been periodically held since September. The Secretary of Directorate of Partnership, Alumni, and Global Initiatives UGM, Dr. Puji Astuti, S.Si., M.Sc. Apt., inaugurated the event. In her opening remarks, she stated that the event is a synergy between students, alumni, and various stakeholders in increasing the employability of university graduates.
The UGM Virtual Career Fair 2020 officially ended on Thursday (17/9) through a live broadcast on the UGM Alumni YouTube channel. Six corporate partners and one institution attended the event. The webinar and sharing sessions began with representatives from PT Bukit Vista, a company engaged in the hospitality sector. Delivered directly by the CEO of Bukit Vista, Jing Cho Yang, the company introduced the profile of and work environment at Bukit Vista. In addition, there was also a sharing session from one UGM alumni currently working at Bukit Vista as a programmer.
