Gadjah Mada Volleyball Alumni (AVOGAMA) held a cross-generation Grand Reunion for members of the Volleyball Student Activity Unit (UKM) UGM on Thursday-Friday (28-29 / 10). Located in the Hall of Student Center UGM, this reunion was attendedby members of AVOGAMA from the class of 1970 and on. There are various series of activities in this reunion of which are fun games for cross-generation as well as employees and lecturers of UGM, watching together GAMA CUP Universities Volleyball Championship 2016, gathering night, night culinary travel, and AVOGAMA Workshop with the theme “Alumni Participation in the Development of Volleyball UKM”.

Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) Alumni are spread evenly not only in Indonesia but also abroad. Given the large number of alumni both in quantity and quality, various positive potentials can be developed through a strong bond between the alumni. For example is idea contribution for the advance of almamater UGM on providing educational facilities as well as improvement on knowledge that is taught to the students. Therefore, UGM held Alumni Meet and Education Promotion in a number of ASEAN countries. After visiting Laos and Thailand on the third week of October 2016, UGM team then headed to Vietnam and Myanmar on Thursday-Monday (20-24/10).

Universitas Gadjah Mada (UGM) organizes Alumni Meet and Education Promotion in ASEAN countries during the months of September to October 2016. This is one way to increase the university’s reputation towards World Class University status by organizing the UGM education promotion along with Alumni Meet. The program began in several ASEAN countries namely Laos, Cambodia, Myanmar, and Vietnam. This is done considering a strong alumni association will support their positions in ASEAN countries on facing the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC).
Directorate of Partnership, Alumni and Global Initiatives (DKAUI) organized UGM Career Talks and Exploration # 7: “Working in Teams” seminar on Wednesday (14/9). This event is a part of seminars and workshops series in 2016, which has reached the seventh series. The event that was held at the UGM Central Library Seminar Room, 2nd Floor was attended by about 120 people who are final year students and alumni from various departments at UGM.
