Aim of the conference: Remote sensing has become a part of our daily life; from simply viewing the streets from mobile phones to selecting the evacuation route and shelters when a disaster strikes or monitoring the extend of forest fire. These examples corroborate the need to discuss the strategic position of remote sensing in today’s national and global governance issues.
